Overview
This webinar explores Continuing Professional Development for Sleep Consultants. As adult learners we need to engage in lifelong learning to keep up to date and be the best we can be. This webinar covers how we, as sleep consultants, can do this effectively. During the session, we will explore:
- Key principles of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and why active engagement is so important for the Sleep Consultant community.
- How to plan your training needs, and how to meet them.
- How The Child Sleep Society can support your professional development.
- And, most importantly, how to measure the impact of any training you undertake.
Aim & learning outcomes
The aim of the online session is to discuss the benefits and importance of CPD for your practice. By the end of this online session, you will be able to:
- Describe what is meant by CPD or lifelong learning.
- Identify your own learning needs.
- Plan for meeting your own learning needs.
- Evaluate the impact of your learning on practice.
More about Gemma
Gemma had a successful career in medical education, healthcare and teaching for 20+ years and retrained as a sleep specialist when she became obsessed with her own little one's sleep. Post certification Gemma became frustrated with the lack of regulation, industry awareness and commitment to CPD. So, The Child Sleep Society was born to give access to high quality learning opportunities for sleep consultants who value ongoing education and want to be the best they can be. Gemma is also a proud mum to her two children, Elodie and Charlie.
