Overview

An introductory online session for professionals who work with infants with reflux. The workshop will allow you to provide better support to your clients. During the session, we will explore: 

• What reflux really is, and how the term ‘reflux’ is used
• Recognise reflux issues in client’s babies
• Important Red Flag symptoms
• Limitations of the medical approach & why change is needed
• How to effectively support clients
• Question & Answer session.

Aim & learning outcomes

The aim of the online session is to provide you with an appreciation and understanding of infant reflux so you can build rapport with, and provide better answers to, clients around getting support for infants with reflux. By the end of this online session, you will be able to:

1. Outline what reflux really is
2. Identify red flag symptoms
3. Recognise key behaviors that indicate that additional support is required
4. Articulate the  limitations of the medical approach
5. Build stronger rapport with clients. 

More about Áine

Áine Homer is the owner and founder of The Baby Reflux Lady. Following Áine’s own experience in mothering two babies with infant reflux, her degree in Mechanical Engineering and her qualifications in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, inspired her to develop a way to support parents and professionals, equipping them with the knowledge needed to help their baby/clients. Áine is passionate and committed to changing the way infant reflux is assessed and supported around the world. Through her book “The Baby Reflux Lady’s Survival Guide” and online courses, Áine teaches parents how to read their baby’s symptoms, figure out the causes of their baby’s reflux and then take the action(s) that are going to change their lives, because the underlying cause of their baby’s reflux is addressed, resolving it for good. In 2019 Áine created the Certificate and Diploma in Infant Reflux courses, which are CPD accredited. They are the first and only infant reflux qualifications in the world. The courses are aimed at both professionals and parents who have an interest in supporting infants with reflux.
