Overview
Sleep consultants support parents experiencing difficulties with their little one’s sleep, but often get asked all sorts of other questions as well. Potty training is a topic that comes up regularly. The relationship between potty training and sleep is complex and there are many misconceptions around toileting that can negatively impact sleep for little ones.
What to expect
The webinar will explore the following topics:
- The evidence base around night time potty training.
- Misconceptions around sleep and toileting.
- Potty training and baby pottying.
- Up-to-date advice & guidance to share with parents.
Aim & learning outcomes
The aim of the online session is to empower you with evidence based information, so you can more confidently and competently address parents concerns when questions around potty training arise. By the end of this online session, you will be able to:
- Outline evidence based strategies for night time potty training.
- Identify what is 'typical' for different ages and stages.
- Discuss 'red flags' and where to signpost parents / carers for further support.
- Address misconceptions around sleep and toileting.
