Overview

Toddlers! How many consults do you do where the issues of food and nutrition come in! Fussy eating can affect sleep, and tensions at dinner-time can roll over into the bedtime routine. This recorded session provides an excellent overview of fussy eating and will equip you with evidence-based advice and guidance to support the toddlers and families you work with

Adults come to parenthood with their own eating habits, likes, dislikes, rules or beliefs around food and inadvertently pass these on to their children simply by being. Children enter a cognitive developmental phase where picky eating, food refusal and skipping meals entirely is not uncommon. How parents act during this frustrating phase can make or break the feeding relationship and determine whether fussy eating is here to stay or will be nipped in the bud.

What to expect

This recorded webinar will empower you with evidence based strategies to help manage fussy eating, so you can provide appropriate guidance to families you support, who are struggling with fussy eating and sleep.

Aim & learning outcomes

The aim of the online session is to empower you with evidence based strategies to help manage fussy eating.  By the end of this online session, you will be able to:

  1. Identify the 4 different food parenting styles in practice.
  2. Outline the negative long-term consequences of the three negative food parenting styles.
  3. Discuss the gold standard in positive food parenting.
  4. Have a toolbox of strategies you can use with parents who seek advice around fussy eating.
